Protosthetics Pectus and Rib Flare Limited Warranty

Thank you for choosing Protosthetics. We take immense pride in the quality of our medical devices and are committed to supporting your journey with products built to the highest standards of durability and care. Below you will find the formal terms of our limited warranty.

Statement of Coverage

Protosthetics warrants that all products shall be free from significant defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions and for their intended medical purpose. This warranty is divided into two specific protection tiers:

  • Brace Straps: Covered for a period of 6 months from the date of delivery.

  • The Brace Shell: The primary brace structure is covered for a period of one year from the date of delivery. This coverage includes protection against material failure and structural breakage resulting from normal wear and tear.

The Claims Process

To maintain the integrity of our quality control, all warranty claims regarding braces require the component to be returned to Protosthetics for physical inspection. Once our technicians verify the defect, Protosthetics will issue a repaired brace or a replacement for the affected component at our discretion.

Limitations and Exclusions

While we stand by our craftsmanship, this warranty does not apply to damage resulting from:

  • Improper Care: Misuse, abuse, or failure to follow the provided maintenance and cleaning instructions.

  • Unauthorized Alterations or Repairs: Any damage caused by modifications or repairs performed by a third party not explicitly authorized in writing by Protosthetics.

  • Expired Timelines: Issues reported outside of the following windows are not eligible for warranty service:

    • 30 Days: Initial manufacturing defects or "out-of-the-box" discrepancies.

    • 1 Year: Standard warranty claims as defined by the component type above.

Shipping & Logistics

Protosthetics is happy to cover shipping costs for repairs or replacements provided the issue is reported within the specified warranty and adjustment windows. If a claim is filed outside of these timeframes or is found to be ineligible for warranty coverage, the customer shall be responsible for all shipping and handling costs to and from our facility.

Protosthetics reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a product failure is the result of a manufacturing defect or user-incurred damage.
